Who I support:
Adolescents - ages 12-17
Let’s face it, being a teen can be rough! This life stage comes with so many changes. Physical, social, academic, and emotional changes can impact teens and their mental health. Middle school and high school years often bring about questions and challenges related to identity, self-worth, and belonging. This is also a time when teens are seeking more independence - teens will often turn to their friends before they will turn to their parents for support. Many teens I work with are dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, adjustment difficulties, friendship challenges, school-related stress, negative self-esteem, and other challenges. I help adolescent clients feel comfortable and safe opening up about their feelings and teach them tools to cope with the changes and challenges they are facing. I sometimes utilize things like games, art, and fidgets in our sessions to help in building a positive and trustworthy relationship while encouraging creative self-expression and addressing the current needs of the client.
College students and young adults
College-age young adults experience their own unique challenges. In a time of new independence and exploration, there can be a lot of pressure and expectations on young adults to have their lives “figured out”. For those that attend college, they may experience difficulties adjusting to a new environment and the challenges that come with that, such as moving away from home, managing their college course load, making friends, etc. Young adulthood also brings about new responsibilities related to school, work/career, and finances, like maintaining your own schedule and paying bills. Many of the college students and young adults I work with are dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, adjustment difficulties, relationship issues, stress management, and other challenges. I provide young adult clients with the space to process and unpack their challenges, and support them in coping with stress, understanding their emotions, and meeting their needs.
Adults (women only at this time)
With every new stage in life, there are new challenges. For adults, it can feel like there’s “always something” that needs attention - between work, family, finances, home life, and friendships, it can be a lot to balance. I help overwhelmed adults find value in caring for themselves. Many of the adults I work with are dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship issues, work/life balance, women’s issues, and other challenges. A lot of adult clients that I see are motivated to make a change in their life, and are seeking personal growth in areas of their life that might need a little TLC. I help adult clients explore and unpack the stressors, experiences, and emotions that impact them day to day, as well as reflect on the ways their early experiences have shaped their beliefs and mental health today. I also help clients increase their self-awareness and self-understanding so that they can better care for themselves and change their relationship with themselves.

It is important that you have a quiet, confidential space to engage in telehealth sessions. If you are a new client seeking services, more details will be discussed in your phone consultation. Engaging in telehealth therapy does not change the quality of services being provided and my dedication to supporting clients. Telehealth sessions can be just as affective as in-person sessions and you might find you prefer them to in-person!

Good Faith Estimate
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. For more information visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or let me know if you have questions.
